MOSCOW, October 7 – RIA Novosti. The new small missile carrier (MRK) “Grad” of project 21631 “Buyan-M”, the carrier of the “Caliber” and “Onyx” cruise missiles, is being tested at sea ranges of the Baltic Fleet (BF). , the fleet’s press service reported on Monday.
“The newest small rocket ship (RTO) Grad 21631 Buyan-M is a carrier of Caliber and Onyx cruise missiles built at the shipbuilding facility of the Zelenodolsk Plant named after AM. The Navy is a test at sea ranges of the Baltic Fleet for the Baltic Fleet going through the program,” he said.
The ship is currently undergoing factory sea trials. The crew, together with industry representatives, checks the operability of the ship’s systems and mechanisms at sea.
“Especially the power plant, steering gear, auxiliary mechanisms, communication and navigation equipment, the operation of the anchor device will be checked. Then the ship’s speed, maneuverability and vibration tests will be carried out, and in the final stages, the firing complex will be carried out at sea and air targets,” – stated in the press service.
