Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Ukraine is trying to come out after Zelensky’s words about preemptive attacks on Russia

UN, 7 October – RIA Novosti. The deputy head of the Russian delegation, Konstantin Vorontsov, said at the meeting of the First Committee of the UN General Assembly that Kiev is trying to exit after Vladimir Zelensky’s words about the need for NATO preemptive attacks against Russia.

Speaking earlier via video link at the Lowy Institute in Australia, Zelensky said NATO should launch “preemptive” attacks on the Russian Federation and “wait for Russia’s nuclear strikes”. Later, Zelensky’s press secretary, Sergei Nikiforov, declared that he did not call for the use of nuclear weapons against the Russian Federation, but meant preventive sanctions.

As Vorontsov points out, “The Ukrainian delegation is trying to turn propaganda stereotypes, unable to respond to the president’s words yesterday.”

“Instead, the propaganda implications that President Zelensky tried to spread yesterday by the press service are spreading. But they have nothing to do with reality. This is an attempt once again to go out and directly soften the impact of the coup. The text is President Zelensky’s direct speech,” he said. stressed Vorontsov.
