The fighter, calling himself “Spartak”, recalled in an interview with the newspaper about the strike in the center of the capital of the DPR in mid-September. But according to him, many journalists in Europe ignored this fact, despite the civilian casualties.
The interlocutor of the newspaper noted that he has been fighting alongside the Donetsk People’s Republic since 2014. He explained his decision by, among other things, “exhausted by the double standards of the West”.
“Yes I fight, but I’m not ashamed of it because I think I’m fighting for a just cause. You journalists call all foreigners who choose this side mercenaries, but you also praise those who shoot and those who shoot. Army, in the name of Zelensky, kill as freedom fighters,” he said.
As Donetsk Mayor Aleksey Kulemzin previously reported, 13 people were killed, two of them children, and eight citizens were injured when Ukrainian soldiers bombed a bus stop in Baku’s Commissars Square on September 19.
Since February 24, a special military operation has been carried out in Ukraine. President Vladimir Putin described this as the ultimate goal of the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee Russia’s security.
