CNBC: Online retailer Amazon begins planned cuts
MOSCOW, November 16 – RIA Novosti. Online retailer Amazon has begun planned outages. informs CNBC is citing messages from laid-off employees.
Earlier, The New York Times, citing sources, said Amazon plans to lay off 10,000 of its employees — about 3% of the company’s headquarters.
“Amazon has begun laying off employees… The company has informed employees of several divisions that they are being laid off, including those related to (voice assistant) Alexa and cloud gaming service Luna,” the channel said.
Amazon is one of the largest online retailers in the world. Besides the USA, the company also operates in Canada, China, Brazil, Japan and Europe. The Amazon.com online store opened in July 1995.
