DHA news agency: 10 people were injured in the gas explosion in Fatih district of Istanbul
CAIRO, 16 November – RIA Novosti. Ten people were injured in a gas explosion in Istanbul’s central Fatih district on Thursday night, the agency reported. DHA.
According to the information given by the agency, the gas workers were working on the gas pipeline in one of the district streets. “During the work, for an unknown reason, a gas leak suddenly occurred and an explosion occurred,” the agency said. The fire broke out, the fire engulfed the first floor of a 3-storey building.
Ten victims were hospitalized, including three employees of the gas company. There was panic in the street because of the incident.
According to media reports, firefighters who arrived at the scene quickly extinguished the fire.
On Wednesday night, a fire broke out in Fatih after the explosions, the flames engulfed cars and a nearby ATM, no one was injured. The cause of the explosions is not yet clear.
Most of the city’s main historical and cultural attractions are concentrated in the Fatih district, especially Sultanahmet Square and a number of famous mosques are located here.
