Post: Ukraine plans to create an air defense system together with its allies

Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said on Wednesday that Kyiv was working with international allies to create an “integrated and coordinated” air defense system.

Reznikov did not elaborate in a tweet on the day of Russia’s airstrikes in Ukraine, but said “protecting Ukrainian skies” would be a priority at a planned meeting with allies in Germany.

“We are working with our partners to establish an integrated and coordinated air defense system. We are preparing for winter on the battlefield,” he wrote.

Ukraine accused Russia of carrying out the missile attack, which Moscow immediately denied.

However, NATO and Poland later suggested that Ukraine’s air defenses had fired a missile during a renewed wave of Russian bombing raids, but it mistakenly landed in Poland.

A rocket killed two people in the town of Przyodo when it hit an agricultural building, shocking Poland, which put its army on high alert.
