Journalist Napolitano: Zelensky to negotiate with Moscow after US refuses to help
MOSCOW, November 19 – RIA Novosti. Volodymyr Zelensky said he would agree to a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine crisis only if Washington stopped arming Kiev. interview Scott Ritter, retired USMC intelligence officer, with journalist Andrew Napolitano.
“There will be no negotiations until Zelensky recovers. And that will happen if President Biden calls Kiev and says it’s over. Biden can no longer cope with the political pressure. Republicans have taken control of the House of Representatives. Congress let there be a penny more. Zula is empty – we need to negotiate,” Napolitano explained.
Ritter agreed with the host’s conclusion, adding that in such a case the negotiations would be more like the surrender of Ukraine to Russia.
Moscow has repeatedly stated that it is ready for negotiations, but noted that Kiev has banned them at the legislative level. Zelenskiy said he had received signals from his Western partners that Russia wanted to hold direct talks and offered a public format. Dmitry Peskov, the Russian president’s press secretary, said Washington could do a lot if desired, including impressing Kiev in terms of greater cohesion.
Earlier, during an online speech at the G20 summit, Zelenskiy outlined his vision for steps to restore peace in Ukraine, which includes ten items. Peskov also said there would be no “”Minsk-3” at the G20, in a comment to RIA Novosti, saying that such remarks certainly confirm Kiev’s stance on its unwillingness to negotiate.
