Trump’s unblocked Twitter followers increase
WASHINGTON, November 20 – RIA Novosti. Former US President Donald Trump’s newly opened Twitter account gained more than 1.6 million followers in a short time and 1.3 million were added within 40 minutes.
When it was indefinitely frozen on January 8, 2021, the page @realDonaldTrump had nearly 90 million followers.
Trump himself has not written anything yet, but the page has become visible with all previous posts, and users have the opportunity to subscribe, leave comments and likes.
The number of subscribers is growing rapidly and has already reached 1.6 million, of which about 1.3 million were added in 40 minutes.
The decision to restore the account was made by the owner of the social network, Elon Musk, after about 52% of the 15 million respondents in his poll voted in favor.
Twitter blocked Trump after events on January 6, 2021, when his supporters stormed the Capitol in an attempt to overturn Congressional approval for Democrat Joe Biden’s presidential election. Trump himself has previously made it clear that he will not be returning to Twitter and will remain loyal to his own social network, Truth Social.
