Ministry of Emergencies of Armenia: The fire in Dilijan National Park in the north of the republic was extinguished
YEREVAN, 20 November – RIA Novosti. It took about seven hours for firefighters to extinguish the fire in Dilijan National Park in the Tavush region of northern Armenia, the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies reported.
At 14.03 Moscow time, a message about the fire came to the control panel of the duty officer of the Tavush Regional Crisis Management Center, 10 hectares of grass were burned.
The park, with an area of over 24 thousand hectares, was created in 2002. More than 100 species of trees grow in the park, there are dozens of species of animals and birds, there are several medieval monasteries, including the active Haghartsin and Goshavank.
