MOSCOW, November 23 – RIA Novosti. The energy crisis has left Austrian pensioners without a livelihood. informs local portal Heute.
As an example, the case of a family from the city of Linz living on a minimum pension is given. The couple received a letter from energy companies announcing a 401 percent hike in electricity prices.
Now the couple spends 105 euros per month on light. With a price increase of 401 percent, spouses will have nothing to live for. “We receive a minimum pension and we cannot pay such bills. I am afraid of the electricity bill next year,” said one of the retirees on the air.

Against the backdrop of the rise in fuel prices, especially gas, the industry in Europe has largely lost its competitive advantages, which also affects other sectors of the economy. Also, the United States and European countries have faced record inflation for decades.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the policy of containing and weakening Russia is a long-term strategy of the West and that the restrictions deal a serious blow to the entire world economy. According to him, the main goal of the United States and its allies is to make the lives of millions of people worse.
