MOSCOW, November 23 – RIA Novosti. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the rejection of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers (CMFA) meeting in Poland is a sign of madness, not unity.
“There is no unity and there will be no unity… If you do not physically put the minister of the country you are talking about on the microphone every day, it is not a sign of unity, it is a sign of your madness,” he said on Sputnik radio.
Zakharova added that Poland is “doing everything to prevent not only normal, but at least some kind of urgent conversation”.
The decision of Poland, the current head of OSCE, to refuse Russian Federation Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s participation in the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers (CMFA) meeting in the city was learned earlier. Lodz on 1-2 December. The Russian delegation to the OSCE Council of Ministers will be headed by the OSCE Permanent Representative Alexander Lukashevich.
