Moldovan President Sandu: Russia left the country in the dark and in the cold
MOSCOW, November 23 – RIA Novosti. Moldovan President Maia Sandu on her Facebook page * accused Russia of major power cuts in Ukraine after the bombing of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
“Russia left Moldova in the dark. We cannot trust a regime that leaves us in the dark and in the cold,” he wrote.
Sandu has promised to restore electricity supply and solve technical problems. According to him, all state services work in this direction.
Earlier today, power outages began in Moldova. In Chisinau, this caused problems in the work of state institutions. The Russian ambassador was summoned to the country’s Foreign Ministry.
The Russian Armed Forces have been carrying out massive attacks on Ukraine’s military and energy infrastructure since October 10, two days after the explosion at the Crimean bridge, which Moscow believes to be behind the SBU.
Since then, air raid warnings have been issued daily in parts of Ukraine, and sometimes across the country. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on 1 November that about 40 percent of energy infrastructure in Ukraine was damaged, causing major power outages.
