40-year-old Russian woman dies after facelift in South Korea
MOSCOW, November 24 – RIA Novosti. Russian woman who underwent cosmetic facelift surgery in South Korea dies informs local agency News1 cites law enforcement data.
The operation took place on November 21 at one of the private clinics in the Gangnam district of central Seoul.
During rehab, the 40-year-old Russian woman fell ill, as she told the staff. The patient’s condition deteriorated rapidly and it became difficult for him to breathe. The intensive care team was called to the clinic, they tried to take the patient to the nearest big hospital, but in the end, the woman died.
The police said, “An autopsy is planned to determine the circumstances of the incident. The actions of the hospital personnel, including the surgeon, anesthesiologist and nurses, will be investigated.”
South Korea is widely known worldwide as one of the main centers of plastic surgery.
