Crimea, which is under Russian control in Ukraine, was attacked by drones on Tuesday while Russian forces were “on watch”, according to Moscow-appointed officials.
“There is a continuous drone attack,” Mikhail Razvogaev, governor of the Sevastopol administrative district in Crimea, told Telegram. Our air defense forces are currently operating.”
He explained that the two processions “have been dead by now”.
He stressed that civil infrastructures were not damaged and appealed to the population to remain calm.
Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, based in the Crimean port of Sevastopol, was previously attacked by drones, prompting Moscow to briefly pull out of a grain export deal with Ukraine after the attack damaged at least one of its ships.
