Manturov: plans have been approved for the supply of weapons to the troops in the near future

Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that the supply of weapons, military and special equipment to the Russian troops is proceeding according to plan, programs for the near future are already ready. He added that in some cases it is even possible to get ahead of the plan. At the same time, if difficulties arise somewhere, the military-industrial commission, together with the relevant institutions responsible for the development and modernization of equipment, immediately gets involved and accelerates deliveries.
In particular, many private enterprises were involved in the production of equipment. Manturov noted that they also help to fulfill orders according to schedule.
Earlier today, President Vladimir Putin, in a meeting with members of the government’s Coordinating Council to meet the needs of the Armed Forces, called for improving the process of providing military equipment to the military. According to him, it is necessary to increase not only the number of weapons, but also the quality.
