Moldova will receive a grant of three million euros to serve in the field of air navigation
KISINEV, 26 November – RIA Novosti. Moldova will receive a grant of 3 million euros for training of staff and provision of services on the field air navigationsaid Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure Andrei Spinu.
“Moldova will receive a grant of 3 million euros from the Eurocontrol Volunteer Solidarity Fund. This fund will be used to cover personnel and training costs, as well as other costs necessary to ensure operational readiness and continuity of processes within the delivery of air navigation services,” wrote Spin on the Telegram channel.
Due to the closure of the airspace, the revenues of “Moldats” (state organization for the use of airspace and air traffic services) fell by more than 50%. The grant will help the company continue to serve.
On February 24, the Moldovan Parliament declared a state of emergency due to the situation in Ukraine. On the same day, the republic closed its airspace. On 21 March, the restrictions were partially lifted, and the planes started to fly to Romania again.
