Tokayev said that Russia and Kazakhstan have established a mutually beneficial strategic partnership.

ASTANA, November 28 – RIA Novosti. Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that Kazakhstan and Russia managed to establish a mutually beneficial strategic partnership based on strong friendship and good neighborly ties.

Tokayev said, “Last month, we celebrated an important historical, 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations for our countries. During this time, our states managed to establish a mutually beneficial strategic partnership based on strong friendship and good neighborly ties.” He said during a video conference speech to the participants of the XVIII Forum on Interregional Cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan, held in Orenburg.

According to the Presidency, a secret constructive dialogue was established between the two countries and a high level of cooperation was achieved. “We are actively interacting within the framework of international organizations and integration associations, I mean the UN, CIS, CSTO, EAEU, SCO, OSCE and CICA, which contribute significantly to ensuring regional security and strengthening the region. The role of Eurasia in global politics and economy,” he said.

The President emphasized that the economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation is getting stronger year by year, mutual trade is growing steadily, joint projects are being implemented and the share of national currencies in mutual settlements is also increasing.
