SDF spokesman Aram Khana told Al-Hadas TV on Monday that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDG) Kurdish alliance asked Russian representatives to help reach an agreement between the alliance and the government in Damascus to protect the areas it controls in the northeast of the country. .
“We asked the Russians to initiate an agreement with Damascus to coordinate actions to protect our lands,” Khana said. According to him, at a meeting with the representatives of the alliance, the Russian representatives presented him with the “rejected” terms of Turkey.
Since November 20, Turkey has been conducting an airstrike against the Syrian wing of the banned Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in northern Syria – attacks have been reported in northern Iraq as well as the city of Kobani. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan described the operation as a success and did not ignore the future of the ground operation.
