Naftogaz: Ukraine asked the US for additional gas for the warming season

Yuriy Vitrenko, the former head of Naftogaz, previously said in an interview with German publication Handelsblatt that Ukraine will face the worst winter in history due to constant power cuts and heating problems. Noting that Kiev cannot pay for imported gas at current prices, the President said, “We are talking about 5 billion euros.”
