Shoigu: More than 300,000 reservists and volunteers were trained at the training grounds
MOSCOW, November 30 – RIA Novosti. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, in a statement at the ministry’s board meeting, said that within the scope of partial mobilization, approximately 3 thousand trainers participated in the training of 300,000 soldiers.
“About 3,000 instructors participated in the combat training of new military formations, more than a hundred training areas took place on the territory of our country and the Republic of Belarus. More than 300,000 reservists, including volunteers, were trained in two months,” he said.
Approximately 8 thousand combat vehicle and tank crews, artillery systems, air defense systems, unmanned aerial vehicles and electronic warfare systems and hardware combat crews were trained in the training centers.
Conscription as part of partial mobilization began in Russia on September 21, by decree of President Vladimir Putin. According to the plan, a total of 300,000 reservists were recruited into the Armed Forces.
Russia has been conducting military operations in Ukraine since February 24. Vladimir Putin called his mission “protecting people who have been subjected to eight years of bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime”.
