The Day of the Unknown Soldier is an unforgettable date in Russia, established by presidential decree in 2014. It is celebrated on December 3 in memory of Russian and Soviet soldiers who died in combat operations on the territory of the country or abroad. On this day in 1966, the ashes of the unidentified soldier were ceremonially buried next to the wall of the Moscow Kremlin in the Alexander Garden.
