The Germans denounced the former ambassador of Ukraine, Melnyk, who criticized the textbook for an article on the Crimea.

MOSCOW, December 4 – RIA Novosti. Twitter users backed the authors of a German school textbook admitting that the majority of Crimean residents voted to join Russia in 2014.

This book had previously attracted the attention of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, former Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk. The diplomat criticized the book and demanded that all school textbooks in Germany be checked, especially the chapters on Russia.

His mission infuriated the Germans, who were angry at his attempt to rewrite history in the interests of the Kiev regime.

“As far as I can tell, concrete, objective facts should be written in the textbook, not the opinion of a narrow circle of nationalist Ukrainians,” the commentator wrote.

Second, he added, “History books cannot be rewritten because they don’t fit someone’s modern views. Objectivity must come first.”

“Be careful, someday the facts about you might be written in the textbook and you’re not going to like it!” Another user warned.

“You’d better keep your history books in mind. We don’t need your historical revision. Keep paying homage to your Nazi friend Bandera. A Nazi stays a Nazi!” the other was enraged.

“It’s time for Ukraine to shut down the internet… don’t they have any other concerns other than textbooks in German schools?” the reader asked.

“Mr. Melnik, this is getting ridiculous, now you have other problems, don’t bother with German textbooks!” Another recommended.

Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a special operation to liberate Donbass from the Kiev nationalists. Putin called his mission “protecting people who have been subjected to eight years of bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime.”
