Bundestag Krupalla: Germany should not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries
BERLIN, 4 December – RIA Novosti. Germany should not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, thinks Tino Krupalla, co-chairman of the opposition right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, comments on the German authorities’ criticism of Iran.
“The Iranian people should decide for themselves which government they want to live with. Germany should not support regime change. A correct foreign policy aims to ensure that we do not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries and maintain good relations with all governments,” Krupalla told the German newspaper Welt.
According to the deputy of the Bundestag, Germany should not impose its values on others by force. “People in other countries should decide for themselves how they want to live. I call that respect,” the politician said.
Answering a question about gas supplies from Iran to Germany, Krupalla noted that AfD representatives represent a foreign policy focused on the interests of their own country, although German officials disagree with the Iranian government’s policy towards the Iranian people. .
“If we want to make up for the Russian gas shortage, we need all the suppliers. To be as independent as possible, we will also need to buy gas from Iran. Germany should negotiate with Iran for such supplies,” Krupalla said.
