Putin says not all students from Donbass exercise their right to demobilization
MOSCOW, December 7 – RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that not all students in Donbass exercise their right to demobilization.
On Wednesday, the president convenes the Council for the Advancement of Civil Society and Human Rights. Writer Marina Akhmedova, member of the Human Rights Council, asked the President to consider the possibility of demobilization of students from Donbass, as new territories become regions of the Russian Federation.
The President replied, “With regard to the demobilization of students of Donbass. Yes, of course, these regions, republics became part of Russia, so Russian legislation should be fully implemented for them.” He added that this is not an easy and lengthy process, but that there are things to be done now, including the discharge of students.
“But I must say that not all students in Donbass enjoy this right of discharge,” the president added.
