Vučić described Pristina’s EU membership application as a breach of agreements
BELGRADE, December 10 – RIA Novosti. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Kosovo Albanian officials in Pristina will apply for EU membership on December 15, a violation of EU norms and previous agreements, including in Washington.
“This is a very unpleasant event for us, a direct violation of the Washington Agreement, an indication that they do not want to abide by the agreements reached during the Republican administration (USA) and can violate them as they wish. I think it is a bad decision,” said the Serbian leader.
He added that he would send a letter to the leaders of the five EU countries (Greece, Spain, Cyprus, Slovakia and Romania) that do not recognize Kosovo’s independence, and pointed out that according to EU rules, only European countries can apply for membership. and not a self-proclaimed republic.
