The Russian military spoke of the advance of the Pskov paratroopers in the direction of Svatov.
SVATOVO (LPR), 18 December – RIA Novosti. A soldier with the call sign “Parker 13” said that soldiers of the Pskov Air Force repulsed the Ukrainian army more than two kilometers in the Svatov region of the front in the Donbass.
“In this direction, the regiment fulfilled its combat duty to reach the specified line and secure it, the regiment fully coped with the task, to advance into the depths of the enemy (defense) was two and a half kilometers.” source said.
He explained that this result was achieved in a week. According to the soldier, the soldiers destroyed up to five enemy armored vehicles while reaching the specified line. At the same time, the losses in the ranks of the Ukrainian security forces amounted to about 50 people, and they also managed to take four strong points.
Earlier, one of the Russian soldiers told RIA Novosti that the infantry, with the support of aviation and artillery, pushed the Ukrainian army in different sectors of the front in the direction of Svatovsky.
The situation in this special operations area escalated a few months ago. Ukrainian security forces regularly bomb Svatovo from the American HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, trying to break through the defenses. This site is of strategic importance as it leads to other settlements of the republic.
Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24.
