Moroccan authorities announced that firefighters had brought a massive fire under control at a gas depot near Casablanca late on Thursday, with no injuries reported.
According to a local government source, a large fire, whose photos were circulated on social media, occurred in a gas tank.
According to the same source, firefighters were able to locate the fire after two and a half hours.
On the other hand, the television company 2M, based on an unidentified official source, reports that the fire started in a propane gas tank.
According to authorities, the fire destroyed five tanks, each with a capacity of eight tons.
An investigation was launched to determine the circumstances that caused the fire.
As part of the preliminary measure, rescue teams evacuated residents from houses near the warehouse and established a cordon in the area.
