Kadyrov: Those involved in the burning of the Koran in Stockholm condemned themselves to eternal damnation
MOSCOW, January 22 – RIA Novosti. Chechnya President Ramzan Kadyrov prisoner He noted that the burning of the Qur’an by Swedish far-right politician Rasmus Paludan and everyone involved in this action condemned themselves to eternal damnation.
Nordic News reported on Friday that Rasmus Paludan, leader of the far-right Hard Deal party in Denmark, has received permission to hold a Quran burning rally in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm. Paludan held a protest at 16:00 Moscow time on Saturday. The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the burning of the Qur’an in Stockholm shows the level of Islamophobia, racism and discrimination in Europe. The foreign ministries of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates also condemned the burning of the Qur’an.
In his view, only “the most frozen scoundrels, possessed by the devil” can show disrespect under the guise of protest. He expressed confidence that the action was not only approved but also initiated and paid for by the authorities.
In the background of the events in Ukraine on 18 May, Finland and Sweden submitted their application to join the alliance to the NATO Secretary General. At first Ankara blocked these applications from being considered, but on June 29, Turkey, Sweden and Finland signed a tripartite security memorandum that took all Ankara’s concerns into account. Turkey withdrew its objections to the two countries joining NATO. As of October 6, 28 out of 30 countries, with the exception of Turkey and Hungary, have already made a positive decision regarding the admission of northern countries to NATO.
On Saturday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that Paludan’s action was a clear violation of the Swedish-signed triple memorandum’s obligation to prevent the propaganda of terrorist organizations.
