The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the burning of the Qur’an in Stockholm shows the level of Islamophobia, racism and discrimination in Europe. The foreign ministries of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates also condemned the burning of the Qur’an.

Turkey withdrew its objections to the two countries joining NATO. On Saturday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that Paludan’s action was a clear violation of the Swedish-signed triple memorandum’s obligation to prevent the propaganda of terrorist organizations.
