Ministry of Interior: An ammunition depot removed by stretcher was destroyed in Kherson region
SIMFEROPOL, January 24 – RIA Novosti. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region, the police found and destroyed a placard of explosives, weapons and ammunition depot in the Genichesk district of Kherson district.
The ammunition depot was located in the abandoned foundation of a building in the Genichesk district. A powerful mine designed to destroy engineering structures, 5 grenades, fuses for them, more than 750 cartridges of various calibers, a full magazine from a Kalashnikov assault rifle and a pistol were stored in a secret arsenal.
“While police were checking the information, they realized that the road to the ruins was mined. Having neutralized the tensioner, the police found a hiding place in the grounds filled with dry grass and branches. It was a controlled explosion organized by the explosives experts of Grom special forces,” he says.
It was noted that the police received information about the stash from operational sources.
