Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba: Kyiv does not want to conclude agreements with Moscow, such as the Minsk agreements
WASHINGTON, January 24 – RIA Novosti. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba believes that Russia should not come to conclusions agreement Similar to the Minsk agreements.
As the minister stated, some people in the US and other Western countries continue to suggest that Ukraine should start negotiations with Russia as soon as possible. According to Kuleba, the partners should “force” Russia to “make concessions”, not Ukraine.
In an article he wrote for the American newspaper Politico, the minister said, “The mistakes in the Minsk process should not be repeated. In fact, they should serve as an example of how not to negotiate with Russia.”
According to him, any hypothetical “Minsk-3” can have only one outcome: “an even bloodier war.”
Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel previously said in an interview with the weekly Die Zeit that Germany and France’s mediation efforts in the so-called Minsk format were intended to give Ukraine time to “get stronger”. Later, the former President of France, François Hollande, joined his speech.
