DOHA, January 25 – RIA Novosti. The Qatari television channel said that US President Joe Biden will announce on Wednesday his decision to supply Ukraine with Abrams tanks.Al JazeeraAmerican government official.

“President Biden will announce his decision to supply Ukraine with Abrams tanks tomorrow Wednesday,” he said.

The American representative stated that “the tanks to be sent to Ukraine will not be removed from the Pentagon warehouses, they will be contracted”.

Earlier, Politico, citing government officials, reported that the United States is considering sending about 30 Abrams tanks to Ukraine. But on Tuesday, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said the United States was not yet ready to announce that it was supplying Abrams tanks to Ukraine.

Russia had previously sent a note to NATO countries for arms supplies to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia.
