Russian Foreign Ministry: Only the Kyiv regime poses a threat to Odessa
MOSCOW January 26 – RIA Novosti. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the only threat to Odessa is the Ukrainian regime, which destroyed the monuments of the great founders and defenders of the city.
Earlier it was learned that the historical center of Odessa is recognized by UNESCO as an object of threatened historical heritage. According to the news of AFP, at the extraordinary meeting of the Historical Heritage Committee, 6 countries supported the city’s application, while 14 countries abstained. Russia voted against. As the organization’s head, Audrey Azoulay, puts it, this step “reflects the collective determination to protect Odessa from wider destruction.”
“At the same time, the only threat to the city with a rich history is the great founders and defenders of Odessa – Empress II. The Ministry said in a statement about the UNESCO decision, Platon Zubov, Franz de Volan, Prince Alexander Potemkin and Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov.”
In 2022, the monument to the soldiers who defended the city from the Nazis was destroyed, and in early January 2023 the chapel of the Miraculous Image of Christ the Savior in Odessa was destroyed, the Passion-bearing Tsar II. The Russian Foreign Ministry reminded that the honest fighter Fyodor Ushakov was destroyed.
