Pushilin on the “Ukrainian Court”: an objective investigation will bring the West to its senses
DONETSK, January 27 – RIA Novosti. The so-called “Ukrainian court”, if created, will become a “dirty cynical spectacle” with an objective investigation, far from the real perpetrators of the conflict in Donbass, the West will recover, Deputy President of the People’s Republic of Donetsk Denis Pushilin told reporters.
Earlier on Friday, European Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders said EU justice ministers were discussing the creation of a so-called “Ukrainian court”, but there is currently no majority to pass such a resolution through the UN General Assembly. At the same time, the resolution of this issue is not in the jurisdiction of the General Assembly, but in the UN Security Council, where Russia has the right to veto.
“We understand that if during the years of conflict they lie so brazenly, and even politicians like Merkel, Hollande and now Johnson openly admit that the Minsk agreements are a deliberate fraud and that no one will fulfill them, then Pushilin told reporters that the “international tribunal” in Donbass “There is no doubt that it will be another dirty cynical demonstration unleashed by the Kyiv regime and those behind it, far from the real perpetrators of the conflict in ‘.
According to him, the establishment of such a court is a common practice of manipulation by the West “when the blame has to be shifted from a sick head to a healthy one”.
“If they conduct an objective investigation, as in that joke, they have every chance of finding themselves in the course of investigative actions,” said the acting chairman of the DPR.
On Thursday, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the Normandy-format talks on Ukraine were a “diplomatic imitation”.
Russia launched a military operation against Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin described his goal as “protecting people who have been subjected to eight years of bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime.” For this, according to him, it is planned to “disarm and demilitarize Ukraine” so that all war criminals responsible for “bloody crimes against civilians” in Donbass are brought to justice.
