Rogov: the appearance of the MLRS “Tornado-S” near Zaporozhye became a counterweight to the HIMARS system
SIMFEROPOL, 31 January – RIA Novosti. The emergence of the Russian Tornado-S multiple launch rocket system on the Zaporizhia line of contact has become a counterweight to the American HIMARS, said Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of administration, head of the Together with Russia movement. Zaporozhye region told RIA Novosti.
“The appropriate number of appearances of Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems with guided projectiles makes it possible to hit enemy positions 100%. They have counter accuracy. Therefore, we now have a proven balance against the American HIMARS system in combat conditions,” he said.
The Zaporozhye region became subordinate to the Russian Federation after a referendum, the results of which Kiev did not recognize and continued to bomb the region. Today, more than 70% of the Zaporozhye region is under Russian control, while the center of the region, the city of Zaporozhye, is under the control of Ukrainian troops.
