Rogov: A new defense line is being built in the Zaporozhye region, taking into account the occupied lines
SIMFEROPOL, 1 February – RIA Novosti. The first line of defense of the Russian army in the Zaporozhye region has advanced, it is now being built taking into account the new occupied lines, Vladimir Rogov, head of the movement “We are with Russia”, told the main line member regional administrative council, RIA Novosti.
In January, the Russian army began local offensive operations in the Zaporozhye direction. The conflict continues almost along the entire front line, but its main parts are in the region of the cities of Orekhov and Gulyaipole. At the same time, they managed to liberate nine villages, put them under fire or put them under operational control.
“The army consolidated the achievements. Our first line of defense has moved forward. Now it is being built, completed and formed taking into account the new lines occupied,” Rogov said.
According to him, in January, as a result of the offensive actions of the Russian army on the Zaporozhye line of contact, more has been achieved overall than a few months ago.
“This speaks of positive dynamics and is very restrained but causes optimism,” said Rogov.
The Zaporozhye region, the results of which Kiev did not recognize, became subject to the Russian Federation after the referendum held there and continued to bombard the region. Today, more than 70 percent of the region is controlled by Moscow, while the center of the region, the city of Zaporozhye, is under the control of Ukrainian troops.
