The Kremlin said on Wednesday that the delivery of long-range missiles by the United States to Ukraine “will not change the course of events” and that Russia will continue to attack, whatever the cost.
Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian president, told reporters that providing Ukraine with missiles with a range of 150 km will lead to an escalation of tension, an increase in the level of escalation. We see that this requires additional effort, but it will not change the course of events. The military operation will continue.”
Long-range missiles and aircraft for Ukraine
A senior adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that talks were underway with foreign partners to provide long-range missiles and attack aircraft to help fight Russian forces.
Political adviser Mykhailo Podoliak wrote on Twitter: “Each stage of war requires certain weapons. The mobilization of Russian reservists in the occupied territories requires certain things from (Ukraine) and its partners.”
He added that “there are special agreements for tanks (logistics, training and supply) and there is talk of supplying long-range missiles and attack aircraft”.
