Defense Minister Pistorius: Training of Armed Forces to work on Leopard will begin soon in Munster

BERLIN, 1 February – RIA Novosti. Training of Ukrainian soldiers on Leopard tanks will begin in the German Munster in the near future, this will not be a full course, it will only be training in the most basic skills, aforementioned journalists German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

“This will of course not be a full training course that our soldiers go through. But it will not proceed differently. It will be a training where they will acquire the most necessary skills. This will take place in Munster, which Pistorius gave to reporters after visiting a tank battalion in Augustdorf, North Rhine-Westphalia. just like with the BMP Marder training. The German government has previously announced that it has decided to transfer the German Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. Germany plans to establish two tank battalions. At the first stage, they plan to provide a company of 14 tanks from the Bundeswehr reserves. In addition, a representative from the German Council of Ministers told reporters that Berlin will allow the re-export of German Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine to countries that plan such deliveries from their stockpiles.
