Ukrainian diplomat: US military will learn in a few weeks how to work with Patriot
MOSCOW, February 3 – RIA Novosti. Borys Kremenetsky, the military attaché at the Ukrainian embassy in Washington, said that the Ukrainian military, which is trained in the US in the management of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, will return in a few weeks.
The Pentagon said on January 17 that training for 90-100 Ukrainian soldiers to use the Patriot at a base in Oklahoma has already begun and will “take several months”.
“In a few weeks, Ukrainian soldiers will complete their Patriot systems training in the United States,” Klymenko Time told Kremenetsky’s Telegram channel.
According to him, the month of training “almost already passed.” He noted to the fire that the usual durations are from a few months to a year if “trained from scratch”.
The Ukrainian army also meets the Patriot in Germany: In early February, the German news agency dpa reported that about 70 people had arrived for this purpose, citing sources in the Berlin security services.
In December, the United States announced the allocation of the first Patriot battery to Ukraine, which will be delivered in the next few months. Later, Germany and the Netherlands announced the transfer of Patriot to Kiev.
The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the West’s arms supply to Ukraine cannot fundamentally change anything, it cannot interrupt the process of achieving the goals of special operations.
