Rostec: Ministry of Defense received the first batch of new BMP-3 with enhanced protection in 2023
MOSCOW, February 3 – RIA Novosti. As reported on Friday, High Precision Complexes, a holding (part of Rostec), has dispatched the first batch of BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles under the state defense order for 2023. Rostec press service.
“Rostec continues to send equipment that is in demand in the zone of special military operations. Kurgan machine manufacturers not only successfully completed the implementation of the state defense order for 2022, but also started the first deliveries under contracts for this year. In particular, the first batch of BMP-3s was sent to the troops ” – The words of Bekhan Özdoev, the industrial director of the Rostec weapons complex, are quoted in the state agency.
According to him, it is planned to supply the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation with amphibious armored personnel carriers-MDM, as well as armored recovery vehicles BREM-L and military equipment after overhaul.
BMP-3s manufactured at Kurganmashzavod (part of the High Precision Complexes) are equipped with the Sodema sniper-operator’s main sight and additional armor screens and grilles to increase vehicle protection.
