Former lieutenant colonel of SBU Prozorov: There may be an American Nazi in Azovstal

LUGANSK, May 20 – RIA Novosti. Among the militants of the Azov regiment blocked at the Mariupol “Azovstal” factory (criminal cases were launched against its fighters in Russia), the former lieutenant of the American Nazi Kent McLellan, who was also involved in the regiment’s relations with foreign Nazis. Prozorov was on business trips to the Donbass several times in 2014-2015, at one time he was deputy commander of the “M” sector.

Watching the events, Prozorov said, “McLellan has YouTube, TikTok, Instagram*. He posts a photo there, it looks like he’s sitting at the factory. He also said that he was with the Azov commander Denis Prokopenko.” He told RIA Novosti in Mariupol.

According to him, McLellan was born in 1990 in Florida, in the family of neo-fascist Ken McLellan, the leader of the rock band Brutal Attack. McLellan Jr. is a member of the National Socialist Movement (NSM).

He was first arrested in September 2008 at the age of 18 for writing racist slogans at a church and restaurant in Crescent City. He was imprisoned in 2010 for vandalism and beating immigrants.

In May 2012, the FBI arrested McLellan and his “American Front” accomplices for plotting a terrorist attack against ethnic minorities in Florida. According to Prozorov, at that time the FBI could recruit a neo-Nazi and then send him to Ukraine on certain missions: during the Maidan in 2014, McLellan was in Kiev, where he joined the “Volunteer Ukrainian Corps” Right Sector. “**, mercenaries recruited in the US and other countries.

According to him, if McLellan is caught, he will be an important witness to the connections between Ukrainian and Western neo-Nazis. Prozorov also noted that his own colleagues risked liquidating him.

Major General Igor Konashenkov, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, said that 1,730 militants have surrendered in Azovstal since Monday, 80 of which were wounded. He noted that everyone who needs inpatient treatment receives help in the health institutions of the Donetsk People’s Republic in Novoazovsk and Donetsk.
