Hoda Jassim (Baghdad)
Yesterday, the Governor of Kirkuk approved compensation for 500 families whose homes were destroyed during the war against the terrorist organization “ISIS”.
An official of the Governor of Kirkuk said, “Through the unceasing and continued efforts of Kirkuk Governor Rakan Saeed Al-Jubour, a new list of 500 victim names was approved after the Ministry of Finance allocated funds for relief purposes. “
The spokesperson urged “compensation recipients to review in the governor’s office the tools that will be distributed in the form of food at a rate of 100 denominations per week until all affected receive economic entitlements.”
Since early 2022, Iraqi forces have stepped up operations to hunt down remnants of ISIS, which was defeated in 2017.
