US President Joe Biden, the largest supplier of tens of billions of dollars in military aid to Ukraine, previously answered “no” when asked by journalists whether F-16 warplanes would be delivered to the Ukrainian army. . German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that requests to supply military aircraft and submarines to Ukraine only hurt the NATO alliance, and that Berlin would not participate in such discussions.

As experts note, if the Western countries nevertheless decide to supply fighter jets to Kiev, they will reach the Ukrainian army much later than the tanks.

Russia had previously sent a note to NATO countries on the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
