More than 25,000 people signed a petition calling for Scholz to negotiate on Ukraine.

BERLIN, February 10 – RIA Novosti. According to the information on the website, more than 25,000 people signed a petition calling on German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to stop the increase in arms supplies to Ukraine and to start negotiations. change.org.

The petition was also signed by Tino Krupalla, co-chairman of the right-wing opposition party Alternative for Germany (AfD).

On his Twitter account, the AfD leader said, “I signed this statement for peace. Party borders should not be an obstacle while working for peace. Thousands of signatures have not been signed yet. So sign it too.”

The petition, titled “The Peace Manifesto,” was published on change.org on Friday morning. The initiators of the document were Sarah Wagenknecht, MP from the Left Party, and Alisa Schwarzer, a famous German journalist and founder of Emma magazine. They urged the German Chancellor to stop the increase in arms supplies to Ukraine and to start negotiations.

Among the signatories of the document are well-known German politicians, writers, journalists, cultural figures, art and scientists.

The drafters also said they plan to hold a rally on February 25 in central Berlin to support their initiative.
