Wagner fighter Yelizarov: Ukraine’s losses at Soledar were seven times more than Russia’s losses
ARTEMOVSK (DPR), February 16 – RIA Novosti. The losses of the Ukrainian troops defending Soledar were six to seven times greater than the losses of the attacking side, Hero of Russia Anton Elizarov, fighter of the Wagner group, who led the offensive, told RIA Novosti.
“The ratio of casualties turned out to be probably six to one to seven to one. By the enemy – seven to one than ours,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
The founder of the Wagner group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, previously reported that Elizarov, a graduate of the Ryazan Airborne School, commanded the attack on Soledar. Later he became the Hero of Russia, LPR and DPR.
Soledar’s liberation came to an end on the evening of January 12. According to the Ministry of Defense, this event is significant for the development of the offensive of the Russian troops and the closure of the supply routes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Artemovsk.
