According to him, the United States warned the Russian Federation, giving details about Biden’s program and course of action, so that Moscow would not be surprised by the increased security measures.

Biden made an unannounced visit to Kiev on Monday and met with Volodymyr Zelensky.

Citing the White House, the Associated Press reported that the United States contacted Russia shortly before Biden’s visit to Ukraine to clear up any miscalculations that could lead to a direct conflict between the two nuclear powers.
