Romanian President Iohannis pledges support for Ukraine “until it defeats Russia”
WARSAW, February 22 – RIA Novosti. Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, “NATO’s eastern wing” Bucharest Nine countries – Bulgaria, Hungary, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic with the participation of US President Joe Biden.
“We must keep our promises to support Ukraine no matter how long it takes, so that Ukraine wins the war,” said Iohannis. “In fact, Romania will continue to do that.” added.
In response, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that the summit participants will discuss issues of support for Ukraine. “We are gathered here to discuss the most important challenges facing our countries, NATO as a whole, as well as opportunities to support our friends in Ukraine,” he said.
“Today, among our closest allies, we would like to consider together the next steps ahead of the Bucharest Nine summit in Bratislava and the NATO summit in Vilnius, as well as the possibilities of providing further support to Ukraine.”
