State Department: The US has nothing to disclose about possible contacts with the Russian delegation in Geneva
WASHINGTON, March 1 – RIA Novosti. The US has nothing to disclose in the context of possible contacts with a Russian delegation at a conference on disarmament in Geneva, US State Department spokesman Ned Price said on Wednesday.
Similarly, a State Department official commented on the possibility of meeting between Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken and his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, on the sidelines of the G20 foreign ministers meeting in India. Specifically, one of the journalists asked Price if he was ready to say anything about the US intention to conduct such contacts.
“The G20 site is a rather small place and I expect the foreign minister to have the opportunity to be in the same room with his Russian and Chinese colleagues, as is customary at group events,” the American diplomat said.
