Mayor Terekhov: Street lighting started to come back in Kharkiv, roads will be illuminated
MOSCOW, March 7 – RIA Novosti. In Kharkov they began to return to street lighting, it was decided to highlight the busiest roads of the city, reported Mayor Igor Terekhov on Tuesday.
“I had successful conversations with the people in charge of security in the afternoon. We agreed that we would start highlighting highways and other busiest roads. Today, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Moscow time, the street lights will be on from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM in test mode” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The names of 18 streets in Kharkov, whose names are associated with Russia, have been changed.
As Terekhov pointed out, the working time of street lighting will gradually increase. The mayor of Kharkiv expressed hope that the decision to return to street lighting will improve the situation on the roads.
In November 2022, Terekhov noted that due to the lack of street lighting in Kharkiv, the number of accidents has increased sharply.
Earlier, the national energy company Ukrenergo reported that there are no restrictions on the supply of electricity to consumers in Ukraine.
