Pushilin: the rescue of Dubovo-Vasilevka in the DPR will improve the position of the Russian forces
MOSCOW, March 9 – RIA Novosti. Denis Pushilin, acting head of the DPR, said that the liberation of the village of Dubovo-Vasilevka in the DPR will improve the position of Russian forces in the Artyomovsk direction.
Earlier, the press service of the founder of the Wagner group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, reported in the DPR that the Dubovo-Vasilevka settlement, located northwest of Artemovsk, came under the control of Russian forces.
“It is important that Dubovo-Vasilevka was also liberated and is now under the control of the Wagners. Now there are battles going on in the suburbs, but still this allows us to improve the positions and the men are advancing,” said Pushilin. He said on the broadcast of the TV channel “Russia 24”.
Artyomovsk is located in the Kiev-controlled part of the DPR, north of the large city of Gorlovka, and is an important transport hub for supplying the Ukrainian contingent in Donbass.
