Soyuzmash delivered 54 tons of humanitarian aid to Syrians affected by the earthquake
MOSCOW, March 13 – RIA Novosti. Soyuzmash press service reported that the Russian Machinery Manufacturers Association delivered more than 54 tons of humanitarian aid to Syrians affected by the earthquake.
Earlier, Vladimir Gutenev, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade, a member of the coordination parliamentary group on special operations, said that the Always Near Donbas relief fund has already collected 500 million rubles.
“After the tragedy, we immediately sent over 9 million rubles worth of about 9 million rubles 54 tons of humanitarian aid, consisting of various basic substances and products: from baby food to personal hygiene products. Our Always Nearby project, initiated by Soyuzmash President Sergei Chemezov, Gutenev said in his message, “We will help him get through the tragedy with the least amount of casualties,” he said.
It has been stated that Soyuzmash has been carrying out charitable activities in Syria for the last three years, collecting humanitarian aid and delivering aid to local residents and health institutions in need. In addition, the organization actively cooperates with relevant Syrian businesses, universities and departments to assist in the restoration of the industry and economy of the Middle Eastern state.
It is emphasized that the action “Always with you” was initiated by the head of the state company “Rostec” Chemezov, through voluntary initiatives of United Russia.
